Local equipment rental specialists, KDM Hire Limited has been voted ‘UK Independent Hire Company of the Year 2009’ at the Executive Hire Awards, staged recently at the Executive Hire Show, Ricoh Arena Coventry.
Heading off stiff competition from more than 270 independent hire companies throughout the UK and Ireland, the award positions KDM Hire as the Most Passionate Independent Hire Company of the Year 2009 across the UK and Ireland.
The panel of independent judges carried out a number of tasks involving mystery telephone calls, random visits to each depot and research into the products and services available from all the hire companies.
On presenting the award Steve McKenzie (Executive Hire Show) said, “KDM sets a very impressive standard and is certainly a benchmark for our industry. KDM also demonstrates that it is possible to extend high standards over more than one depot”
Managing Director Keith McIvor commented, “We have always placed the emphasis on offering the highest levels of customer service and the best possible products available. This award is recognition of the hard work and commitment from all our staff over the last number of years”.
This latest achievement comes on the back of the company collecting an award in June 2008 when they were voted European Rental Company of the Year.
KDM Hire has grown to become one of the leading independent hire companies in the UK and Ireland. They currently employ over 70 staff across two sites in Cookstown and Mallusk, servicing customers in the construction, utilities, industrial and events sectors.
